The Story of Bianco per Amore
As an ancient grape variety, Pinot Chardonnay faces many challenges to survive in today’s vineyards and is vulnerable to pest and disease attacks, resulting in reduced yields. The most difficult part of this wine is harvesting this demanding grape variety at the perfect ripening moment in the relatively hot environment of Tuscany, while retaining a rich and delicate taste.
The name Bianco per Amore is a pun: not only because of the owner’s sincere love for this wine, but also because of the clear and transparent colour of the wine, which is like high-end pearls.
Tasting Notes
Bright golden, very alive and energetic, like a carnival parade, a deep feeling of tension, excitement and pleasure. A very bold and gorgeous Chardonnay, yet the undertones are serene and dense. When tasting the wine, the picture in front of you is of the sun setting while white rose petals fall quietly, the heat of the day gradually dissipating, the scent of grass all around. The wine is large-bodied, high in alcohol but not alcoholic, very elegant, with a delicate acidity supporting a strong frame — compact, rich in minerality, gorgeous and delicate. It reminds me of a top-notch white Burgundy, but with a distinct Tuscan warmth.
